Senior CAD Technician - Heavy Industry (Potential Long-Term)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to support industrial plant projects. This role involves CAD modeling, updating technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for fuel oil, hydrogen, chemical, and water systems. This position offers the potential for long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and update P&ID diagrams, boiler, and steam system drawings.

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models for industrial plant systems, including fuel oil, hydrogen, chemical (COMAH), and water systems (Legionella).

• Utilise AutoCAD (2D/3D), Navisworks, Plex Earth, and Google Earth Pro for geospatial imaging and mapping.

• Assist in the preparation of plant proposals and technical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in CAD design for plant engineering and industrial systems.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and geospatial tools such as Navisworks, Plex Earth, and Google Earth Pro.

• Knowledge of COMAH, Legionella, and relevant safety standards.
