Role Overview:

As a Practitioner/room leader, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe environment for children, aged 0-5 years, that encourages their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organised environment for the children.
  • Supervise, support, and motivate a team of Early Years Educators.
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote all areas of learning.
  • Regularly observe and assess children's progress to create and update their individual learning profiles.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's development and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Ensure the room meets health and safety standards, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with management to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years Education and Care qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working in an Early Years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to ensuring all children are safe, happy, and engaged in their learning.
