My client is an acute NHS Hospital seeking a fully ACCA Qualified finance professional looking to step up into a senior finance business partner post. You will primarily be responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of the Trusts financial management function.

You will lead this function on the development and implementation of the Financial Strategy for the Trust and will ensure that efficient, effective and business focussed financial systems and processes are in place.

The right candidate will lead on the provision of robust finance advice on highly complex financial issues and provide financial and business planning advice to the Trust.
Youll be enhancing relationships between financial management and other trust departments and will require active engagement with clinical and non-clinical teams in financial performance management, cost improvement development and delivery and in ensuring that the financial planning process is sound.

The postholder will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive and effective financial management service. Including, the coordination of the annual budget setting process in conjunction with, and in support of, the Operating Plan and Cost Improvement Plan.

The post holder will manage the Financial Management team, including the direct line management of Finance Business Partners (8b). This will include the specific responsibility for ensuring the development of effective business partnering to all collaboratives and corporate functions of the Trust by ensuring that the team are capable of, and undertake, to:
* Support and influence strategic and operational decisions.
* Interpret, explain, and drive financial performance.
* Advise on planning assumptions, external and internal context, benchmarking, and commercial opportunities.
* Analyze, advise on, and mitigate financial risk in the organization.
* Challenge behaviour that does not comply with the Trust SFI's.
* Develop and maintain the level of expert knowledge and skills the subject area requires.

Please note the ideal candidate must be ACCA Qualified and have NHS Finance experience and have managed a team of up to four. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum onsite presence of 2 days per week.
This role is initially for 6 months and has the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right person.
