Job Title: Flexographic Plate Maker
Location: York
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
o Rotating staggered start and finish hours
o Monday - Friday: 6-2, 9-5, 11-6
Salary: Dependent On Experience
Holidays: 25 days
About my Client:
Brand Management company working with packaging companies from design, reprographics through to packaging mockups for all packaging types.
Purpose of a Flexographic Plate Maker
- Responsible for loading plates onto the machine, must be able to operate an exposure, washout, and Drying unit of the plate-making process
- Responsibility for quality and making sure plates are produced to the required customer specifications
- Ensuring quality control checks are performed and logged on the system
- Must be fully skilled in the operation of of equipment and computers as required to be used in the Platemaking process.
- Must be able to read and understand files for customer requirements from the company computer system
- Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines
- quality and attention to detail with all areas of work is required
- The transportation of plates to areas within the site
Experience Needed:
- Preferably from a Flexographic Plate making / plate mounting background
- Experience of using an Esko system
- Will consider someone from the Print industry who is keen to be trained up in this
- Ability to do heavy lifting
