Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a well-known business in the Yorkshire Dales who are looking for a Quality & Compliance Technician to join the business. Reporting into QHSE Manager, this role is designed to bridge the areas of Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety. The position supports internal auditing and regulatory compliance across these domains, ensuring that the company adheres to industry standards and operational procedures.The business lies within the food & beverage industry, focusing on crafting distinctive, traditional products using the finest ingredients. The company is known for its innovative approach while maintaining a strong connection to its traditional roots continuing to innovate and expand its product range, exploring new techniques and recipes.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for their first step in their career within quality and compliance in the FMCG industry. The business are in a period of transformation offering somebody the chance to take part in exciting projects as the business grows. The company are happy to consider candidates with existing in experience within quality and FMCG or someone who has Graduated within a relevant discipline. Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct internal audits (procedure, health & safety, GMP, traceability, and more).
  • Create and maintain product specifications and records.
  • Complete audit reports, track actions, and ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Provide on-site support to production teams to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure health & safety compliance across the brewery.
  • Train staff on food safety and quality requirements.
  • Manage lab sample preparation, monitor testing schedules, and log results.
  • Ensure compliance with product labelling regulations.
  • Oversee calibration schedules and ensure the maintenance of brewing equipment.

I'm keen to speak to candidates with the following skillset:

  • Experience working with a Quality Management System (e.g., BRCGS, SALSA, ISO 9001).
  • Strong experience in auditing, including documenting non-conformances and following up on corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (using pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate clearly, especially when addressing non-conformance issues with staff.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Graduated within a discipline relevant to the food industry
