Junior Quantity Surveyor Role!

The Projects

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will be playing a significant role in assisating numerous Retail projects. You will be required to ensure effective and smooth project execution by assisting the Commerical team with cost management, procurement, contract administration, risk assessment, quality control, and client communication.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • IT skills
  • Effective time management
  • Analytical and Mathematical skills
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
  • Strong communication and attention to details
  • A wide understanding of construction laws and regulations
  • HND or HNC prefereable

The Role

  • Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

  • Reporting to: Quantity Surveyor

Duties (Assisting the QS with):

  • Procurement
  • Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them
  • Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
  • Coordinate and negotiate terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors
  • Prepare and manage contracts efficiently with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Regularly engage and collaborate with the team, providing comprehensive project updates
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for project costs, contracts, and procurement activities
  • Manage project budgets to ensure that expenses are maintained within established financial constraints
  • Efficiently monitor and predict construction expenses, covering materials, labor, equipment, and related costs
  • Procure materials, subcontractor services, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications
