We are currently recruiting for a qualified Food technology teacher or Instructor to start ASAP, part time initially for 2 terms. This independent special school situated in a rural picturesque part of North Yorkshire that was Ofsted graded “GOOD” with “Outstanding” Features in behaviour & Personnel Development in Nov 2023.
The school has a capacity for 20 students, but currently have 6 KS4 students (year 9-Year 11) on role. The students have experienced past trauma in CSE therefore requires a committed individual that is passionate about teaching such students.
Job spec & Description:
- Must hold QTS, P.T.T.L.S., D.T.T.L.S, OR EQUIVALENT.
- Ability to deliver ASDAN Curriculum including Food tech, hair & Beauty & animal care.
- Must have some understanding of childhood trauma and CSE.
- Provide engaging, therapeutic lessons.
- Must have Food Hygiene level 2 certificate or willing to complete the CPD course.
- Must hold current and valid DBS on the subscription service, or willing to obtain one.
