Financial Controller

Bhav Kotecha is working exclusively in partnership with Steadfast Roofing to recruit for a very hands-on Financial Controller with a clear and defined route to progress to Finance Director in the next 12-24 months based in Sharnbrook.

We are seeking someone to come in and really add value and bring experience to an already successful team where everything is smooth and working very well.

The role is office based, but with flexibility and hybrid working when required which is negotiable depending on circumstances and work commitments.

Financial controller - Key Accountabilities:

Reports to: Managing Director

• Bookkeeping
• Supply Bank Statements, paying transactions, managing bank accounts.
• Accounting
• Checking postings, fixed asset register
• Recording of transactions onto computerised system (Evolution M)
• All sales invoices posted, hard copies scanned and posted and used for bookkeeping.
• Vat Returns
• Monthly advice, VAT rate, rules, compliance.
• HMRC returns
• VAT, P11D, CIS, Sub-Contractor returns, QUIPS
• PAYE returns
• CIS obligations
• HMRC, Sub-Contractor Statements,
• Payroll
• Weekly, SRL, S&E, EvolutionM, One-Shop, SAGE, Vehicles, Buildings rates
• Subcontractor certificates/invoices payments
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial accounts
• Invoicing, Allocation, debt collection is inhouse.

Software: Evolution M, SRL and S&E used for accounting and payroll. SharpX One Shop sales and accounting and SAGE for One Shop payroll.
