A high-growth enterprise software company based in Bedfordshire are looking for a new Group Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be tasked with supporting the internal and external publication of the Groups consolidated financial results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of group consolidation processes.
  • Responsible for management and financial reporting processes across balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements.
  • Liaise with senior management across subsidiary companies to build relationships and assist with financial queries.
  • Keep up to date with technical accounting standards and provide support to the Group FC, CFO and wider team.
  • Keep the Group informed with changes in reporting requirements and provide training where necessary.
  • Ownership of other ad hoc projects and analysis to support the wider team and business.

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified, having trained in audit, preferably within a Big 4 or Top 10 firm. Candidates must have strong technical accounting skills and be up to date with relevant international accounting standards. This role would be best suited to someone with a pro-active nature, a self-starter with strong attention to detail and good organisational skills - in order to work well in a dynamic, and changeable environment. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential with the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels.
