Apex Care Homes is looking for two dynamic and compassionate Wellbeing and Activities Co-ordinatorsone based in Bedford and one in Luton. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a varied and engaging 7-day program of activities designed to enrich the lives of our residents. You will work closely with the Nursing and Care Teams to ensure that each resident's individual needs and preferences are met, fostering a welcoming and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Activity Planning: Develop and deliver a wide range of creative, meaningful, and culturally inclusive activities that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Resident Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and the local community to encourage participation and create a sense of belonging.
  • Community Involvement: Organize outings, trips, and holidays, ensuring all activities are accessible and enjoyable for every resident.
  • Wellbeing Focus: Actively work to reduce depression, loneliness, and boredom among residents, promoting their independence and happiness.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of resident activities and wellbeing, regularly reviewing and adjusting programs to better meet their needs.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure that all residents are safeguarded at all times, raising any concerns with management or relevant authorities as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in working with individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, or physical disabilities.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate both residents and staff.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to accommodate the needs of the residents.
  • Passion: A genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older adults and a commitment to upholding the values of dignity, respect, and choice.
