Field Service Engineer - £25,000 - £40,000 DoE Bedford - Includes van

Bluegate are urgently recruiting for a skilled Field Service Engineer with experience of both electrical and mechanical systems? Working directly with customers, at their sites, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, installation, fault finding and repair of compressed air products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain, repair, and install compressed air systems and related equipment.

- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve system issues using standard tools and techniques.

- Operate independently at customer sites, with larger jobs requiring teamwork.

- Build trust with customers through clear communication and effective solutions.

- Log accurate job reports promptly.

- Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed.

Requirements:

- Proven hands-on experience in a similar technical role with electrical and mechanical skills.

- Experience in scheduled maintenance, diagnosing breakdowns, and making repairs.

- Qualifications or training to support current experience.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Full UK driving licence.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Adaptable to new ideas and change.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience working independently on a variety of sites.

- Proven experience with compressed air systems and associated equipment.

- Relevant qualifications in engineering, mechanical, or electrical fields.

- Proficiency with MS software, including Outlook & Office 365, or similar software.

- Driving licence that includes towing a trailer.

This role is based within a 50-mile radius of Bedford, with occasional repairs carried out in the Bedford workshop.
