Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Objective:
Deliver high-quality engineering support and advice across the organization, serving as the customer quality engineer for assigned clients. Ensure compliance with customer and quality management system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer support and advice to various departments regarding quality and process standards for specific customers.
  • Ensure that customer specifications are integrated into products by maintaining accurate internal documentation that reflects these quality and process standards.
  • Collaborate with customer representatives to define acceptable product or process variations and establish criteria for disposition and repair as necessary.
  • Create AS9102 or other required first article inspection reports for customers.
  • Assess and address non-conforming or questionable materials identified by QC inspectors or other staff.
  • Make certain that all customer specifications are included in purchase orders for manufactured goods.
  • Approve product release documents in line with customer requirements.
  • Thoroughly investigate customer complaints and rejections, implementing preventative measures as needed.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong customer service skills, both internal and external.
  • Committed to maintaining high quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector (AS9100D) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with international quality standards like IPC-A-610 is a plus but not essential.
