The Senior Quality Engineer will be based at our Fraser Road, Bedford site, with regular visits to our Heat Sealing facility on Napier Road.
The Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve ISO9001, ISO13485 & ISO14001 quality management systems.
- Supervise and mentor an apprentice within the Quality Department.
- Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and represent Ceetak in customer and third-party audits.
- Oversee PPAP sample review and documentation submission.
- Inspect and measure samples to technical drawing specifications and customer requirements.
- Manage and direct Senior QC Inspectors and QC personnel to meet dispatch and customer demands.
- Liaise daily with customers and suppliers regarding quality standards.
- Investigate internal and external non-conformances and implement corrective actions using 8D, 4M, and FTA reporting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Quality Management System and company processes.

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. If you have experience in quality assurance within an engineering environment, this could be the perfect role for you. About you:
- Auditing experience – Internal audits, supplier production line audits (Lead Auditor certification is a plus).
- Quality Management System knowledge – Experience working within a regulated engineering environment.
- PPAP expertise – Strong understanding, including PFMEA review.
- Familiarity with quality tools – 8D reporting, 5 Whys, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task, and perform under pressure.
- A team player who can also work independently to meet departmental targets and deadlines.
- A positive ‘can-do' attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
