Techniche are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint Validation Engineer for their site in Cranfield who will provide validation activities for customers using the Connected Car services in the vehicle using the mobile app and smartwatch.

Pay Rate:             up to £22.67/hour PAYE+ holiday and pension payLocation:             Cranfield, Bedfordshire – hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 days WFH)Duration:             12 months rolling contract Requirements: Valid UK/European driving licence is a MUST  Role Responsibilities:
  • Perform end to end vehicle validation for connected car services in the vehicle using the mobile app and smartwatch
  • Ensure the test resources are available before the start of the validation
  • Raise incident tickets in the incident management system and track them through to closure.
  • Follow testing methods & procedures that comply with the Company’s specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure robust validation of the complete telematics systems.
  • Confirm vehicle level quality, function & reliability standards are maintained by the changes you will be validating.
  • Conduct root cause investigation of concerns with the relevant stakeholders.
  Background And Experience:
  • Have relevant validation experience in automotive but not essential
  • Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent with PC applications including Microsoft excel and Microsoft presentation.
  • Have ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be self-motivating and self-managing, Pro-active, energetic, and flexible regarding working practice and working hours.
  • Be able to travel abroad, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be long distance and or at short notice.
