Location: Bedford - Hybrid (Mon & Fri in the office, Tues/Wed/Thu from home)
Hours: Part-Time, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for a part-time role with flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Purchase Ledger to join their finance team.
As a Purchase Ledger, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of purchase ledger processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting key finance functions.
Responsibilities:
- Crossmatch purchase invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Accurately process and record financial transactions to ensure profitability.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Handle supplier queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end responsibilities, including preparing reports and financial statements.
- Liaise with suppliers to secure the best value and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and support procurement decisions.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
- At least 1 year of experience using Xero accounting software.
- 1 year of experience in credit control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
