MEM Recruitment are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client based in Bedford.
Our client is a worldwide leading fashion distributor who pride themselves on their innovation in sustainability.
As a Bookkeeper your duties will include :
- Dealing with sales invoices, income, receipts, and payments.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Maintaining a balanced general ledger.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts.
- Help to prepare annual accounts.
- Enhance bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Support the Accounting and Finance team with projects and tasks as required.
Skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in a bookkeeper role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Experience and knowledge of using Shopify payment platforms and gateways such as Klarna.
- Must be highly enthusiastic and self motivated , can work well as part of a team or independently.
- A knowledge of the fashion industry or sustainable fashion an advantage , but not essential
