Full time - 40 hours per week delivered on a rota basis between 08:00 - 20:00 Monday - Friday and 08:30 -12: 30 on a Saturday (2 Saturdays in every 14 weeks).

In this role, you will have use of a company van and fuel card.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join bpha’s In House Maintenance Service, who make a difference to our customers’ lives everyday by delivering a high-quality repairs service designed around them.

We operate across Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, and we utilise the latest technology to ensure that we not only deliver a great experience for our customers, but for our colleagues as well.

Due to the continued growth of our In-House Maintenance Service, we are currently looking to add Bricklayer / Multi Traders to help resolve customer enquiries and issues.

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor you will be delivering a high standard of primarily bricklaying work, but also other multi trade remedial works in customers homes and empty (void) properties alike. This will include the application of industry-standard techniques whilst stringently adhering to all policies, procedures, processes, controls, systems, required training and record keeping. You will ensure that we operate in a safe, customer centric, environmentally ethical, and accountable way and maximise your first time fix rate.

You will:

  • Maintain adequate van stock levels to support you in making first time fixes.

  • Carrying out delivery and completion of General building and bricklaying repairs.

  • Be responsible for accurate recording of tasks and liaising with the scheduling team.

  • Apply your technical knowledge, skills, and training to complete the repairs assigned to you in a safe, efficient manner. Taking care that they are of high quality, comply with technical specifications and provide a long-lasting solution.

  • Be flexible when needing to carry out small non bricklaying repairs.

  • Deliver and maintain excellent customer service at all times

We are looking for someone with…

  • Experience in bricklaying.

  • Knowledge of industry-standard techniques

  • Experience of the construction industry, including trades, materials, processes, and Health & Safety especially within a social housing context.

  • Ability to operate in a positive, organised, efficient and self-motivated way.

  • Additional Multi Trade skills such as decorating, plumbing, carpentry, plastering

  • A full clean driving license
