Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our team, specializing in the cleaning and sanitization of medical equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that all medical devices and instruments are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and ready for safe use in medical settings.

Who we are:  We are a leading provider of community equipment services to local authorities and the NHS across the UK, delivering a wide range of equipment and support to people in their own homes, keeping people independent for longer.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and standards.
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure thorough sanitization and sterilization.
  • Inspect equipment for any signs of damage or wear and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and completed tasks.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Organize and store cleaned equipment in designated areas.
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of cleaning equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on best practices and new cleaning techniques.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment used for disinfecting medical devices.
