We are seeking a Branch Manager who can exhibit strong leadership qualities and ownership for the responsibility of running the Branch and the employees day to day activities, demonstrating experience in the Management of 35 or more staff, and administration and an awareness of Health and Safety.The successful applicant will have the ability to oversee various disciplines such as Despatch, Stores, and Delivery ensuring they run efficiently and smoothly on a day to day basis.Responsibilities within this role include:

Ensuring that the branch works productively and is cost effective

Overseeing best utilisation of vehicles

Satisfactory levels of stock; despatch

Despatch and Transport including the safe loading, route planning, optimisation of the fleet usage and vehicle maintenance records

Monitoring Drivers hours

Ensuring the maintenance of the vehicles including: Servicing, Mot, Tax renewal via National Manager

Organising and managing all staff within the branch

Branch administration is dealt with according to Company Policy and Procedure

Dealing with staff issues as necessary both work or personal related as necessary

Monitoring our Health and Safety of the site and its employees

Ensuring productivity and cost effectiveness in the Branch, including employees, continuously

Reviewing resource requirements for maximum benefit to the company at minimum cost

Safety and Security of the site

Risk assessments for the site

Training and Development of staff as necessary

You will need to be a flexible, proactive, positive, assertive person and be good at forward planning along with the ability to multi task but to always be able to remain logical and calm.

Salary £48,000 per annum. The role is based in Bedford

Dunster House is a growing International Company currently employing approx. 450 Staff in the UK and is a well established international family run Company that Manufactures and Retails a large variety of Timber Lifestyle Products which are sold throughout the UK from our current Branches in Bedford, Scunthorpe, Warminster, Basingstoke, Liverpool, Faversham, Witham, Cumbernauld. Distributing also manufactured products from our 3 European sister companies.6 of our current Branch Managers are ex Army SNCOs
