The Role:

To support the Head of Supply Chain across the Supply chain function. Specifically focused on the timely management of processing Customer orders from receipt of order through to purchasing goods through our automated system.

This role is based in their friendly office Moinday - Friday.

More Detail:

Supply Chain Functions will cover:

  • Maintain excellent Customer relationships and Customer Service levels
    • Fulfil customer orders through the end-to-end Supply Chain process, from placing Supplier (Purchase) orders, through Despatch to Customer (Sales) Invoicing
    • Resolve any Supply Chain issues to ensure a high level of customer service.
    • Proactively keep customers informed of any updates regarding their order.
    • Address customer enquiries and deal with them appropriately through to resolution
    • Monitor and manage back orders through to despatch and delivery.
  • Maintain strong Supplier relationships.
    • Responsible for accurate and timely ordering of products to meet our customer requirements, ensuring we purchase the correct quantity, at the best price, delivered to the customer within the agreed timescales.
    • Negotiate with Suppliers to secure discounts and special offers where possible.
  • General Supply Chain administration, including monitoring and managing Supply Chain e-mails; maintenance of all relevant business processes and systems; filing.
  • Responsible for monitoring stock levels and alerting Head of Commercial / Supply Chain to any requirements or shortfalls.
  • Monitoring and amending min/max stock holding to ensure we always keep the correct level of stock holding.
  • Re ordering / prioritising and expediting any low stocks with relevant distribution partners.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Team to answer Customer and Supplier invoice / delivery queries.
  • Your responsibilities may be amended by us and, in addition to the duties set out here, you may be required to undertake additional or other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of our business.

The Person:

  • Experience of working within a similar administration role, ideally product related.
  • An excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Able to commute to Bedford on a daily basis.
  • Strong administrator and multi tasker!
  • Previous experience of dealing with external suppliers.

The salary available for this permanent Supply Chain Coordinator role will be £25,000 - £30,000 plus benefits, working Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30, Mon-Fri with an hour lunch.
