As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for delivering efficient parking enforcement services, ensuring compliance with parking regulations by issuing penalty charge notices. You will play a crucial role in helping maintain the quality of life in the community by facilitating the free movement of traffic and parking availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective civil enforcement actions in the assigned area.
- Issue penalty charge notices to vehicles parked in contravention.
- Represent the council positively when dealing with the public, council members, and partners.
- Participate in on-the-job training, including obtaining a Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement Officers.
- Follow council objectives and policies in all enforcement actions.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and manage conflict effectively.
- Resilience and flexibility in an active, outdoor work environment (uniform provided).
- Full clean Driving Licence preferred (some non-driver roles available).
- Ability to follow processes and procedures.
- DBS clearance required.

Hours: 37 hours per week (Please note that you’ll work a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, on a rolling 8-week rota, with weekend working (with enhancement) a mixture of early and late shifts between 7am and 9:30pm). - Part time hours also considered.
