Job Title: Site/Setting Out Engineer (RC Experience) - Major Highways Project
Location: Bedford, UK
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: 350 per day (Outside IR35)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site/Setting Out Engineer with a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) structures to join a major highways infrastructure project near Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and ensuring accurate execution of structural and civil engineering works with a focus on reinforced concrete elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying of reinforced concrete structures and other associated works on a major highways project.
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with design specifications drawings and industry standards.
- Liaising with site teams subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure efficient progress of works.
- Conducting quality control checks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Producing as-built surveys maintaining records and assisting in site reporting.
- Ensuring health safety and environmental standards are adhered to on-site.
- Supporting the project management team with technical queries and solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
- Proficiency in using Total Stations GPS and other setting out equipment.
