Our client, aleading drinks businessbased in Bedfordshire, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brewery Team Leader the opportunity to lead & innovate in theirdynamic brewing team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes, from malt intake to filtered bright beer. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for excellence to drive production quality and efficiency in a fast paced brewing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage brewing and process production at both high and low levels

  • Oversee health and safety, including risk assessments and COSHH assessments

  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports

  • Ensure brewing and process production is legally compliant and meets global food safety standards

  • Maintain internal quality standards for all produced goods

  • Manage the brewing and process department's production within budget constraints

  • Participate in the HACCP team

  • Develop and modify recipes

  • Accurately process brewing and process production on ERP software (SAP)

  • Create and achieve realistic brewing and process production plans

  • Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for production failures or near misses

  • Ensure co-product production conforms to FEMAS regulations

  • Contribute to continuous improvements and capital projects

Qualifications:

  • Brewing degree

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in brewing

  • At least 1 year of management experience

Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the brewing process, including packaging

  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to interpret, interrogate, and present data

  • Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs

  • Decisive under pressure

  • Keen awareness of health and safety requirements

  • Cooperative attitude towards all departments in achieving production targets

  • Experience in developing strong teamworking relationships
