Earthworks Supervisor - Highway Project - St. Neots A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join our team on a major highway project in the St. Neots area. This is an opportunity to contribute to a project that will enhance the region's infrastructure and contribute to smoother commutes for local residents.What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise a team of groundworkers, ensuring safe and efficient execution of earthworks activities.
- Maintain high standards of quality and productivity on the project, ensuring adherence to project specifications and all relevant regulations.
- Oversee excavation, fill, and compaction operations, ensuring proper techniques and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively, including plant, machinery, and materials.
- Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring the highest safety standards are consistently met.
- Contribute to the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines and achieving the highest quality standards.
What We Need:
- Proven experience as an Earthworks Supervisor on highway or road construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of earthworks techniques, soil mechanics, and construction materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to achieving project goals on time and within budget.
- A strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
