Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a main contractor in Bedford in their search for a Contracts Manager , to manage and oversee multiple School projectsacross Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, whilst reporting directly to the owner of the Business.
The Role and Responsibilities
- Managing Multiple Contracts/Projects: Oversee multiple contracts/projects simultaneously, ensuring they progress from contract award to site implementation and successful completion.
- Team Leadership: Hold overall responsibility for allSite Managers and junior Project Managers within your remit.
- Client Liaison: Prepare, plan, and execute necessary documentation in collaboration with clients to initiate projects.
- On-Site Presence: Regularly visit sites and collaborate with site staff to ensure smooth contract execution, including governance of subcontractors, suppliers, and the daily on-site project team.
- Progress Monitoring: Review and monitor on-site progress to ensure the contract meets scheduling and budget requirements.
- Contract Assessment and Estimation: Evaluate potential contracts and estimate the required works.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement changes to enhance project outcomes and deliver excellent service to customers.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the site operates in accordance with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic MS Project
- Good communication skills
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Minimum of 5 years of contracts management experience
