As a Clinical Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing crucial support to children who face a wide range of special educational needs. Your primary role will be to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including conditions such as ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and speech and language challenges. In this role, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Supporting children with a variety of special educational needs, including SEMH, ADHD, autism, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and other complex learning needs.
- Collaborating with the school's clinical team to develop and deliver targeted interventions designed to meet the needs of each student.
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of individualized learning plans (ILPs) to support the academic and emotional development of students.
- Providing pastoral care and emotional support, helping students to build confidence, self-esteem, and positive relationships within the school environment.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging students to reach their full potential both academically and socially.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the wellbeing and growth of all students.
