Training Coordinator – Plumbing & Gas!

Position: Training Coordinator – Plumbing & GasLocation: BedfordFull time, Temporary
£25-35 per hour including holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and monitor learner progress.
- Coordinate all aspects of the apprenticeship journey, from induction to completion.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure successful and timely completion of apprenticeships.
- Assess learner performance against awarding body standards.
- Develop and coordinate specific training programs.
- Assist in curriculum development and excellence.
Main Duties:
- Induct, train, assess, and support learners throughout their apprenticeship.
- Ensure quality initial assessments and lead the induction process.
- Stay updated on apprenticeship funding rules and maintain evidence centrally.
- Provide effective coaching and mentoring to apprentices.
- Conduct regular workplace assessments and reviews.
- Deliver training based on current sector practices and support learners in building their portfolios.
- Develop bespoke courses to meet employer needs.
- Monitor Health and Safety practices in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate learner assessment and achievement records.
- Liaise with employers and provide regular feedback on apprentice progress.
- Promote apprenticeship and commercial courses to employers.
- Engage in Internal Quality Assurance processes and standardisation activities.
- Participate in team activities, sharing good practices and contributing to curriculum development.
Requirements:
- Good level of education, including Maths and English (GCSE Grade A – C or equivalent).
- Relevant qualifications such as A1 Assessor, TAQA Award, Level 3 in the sector area, PTLLS qualification.
- Knowledge of recent developments in training, assessing, and verifying.
- Experience in training and assessing competence-based programs.
- Strong administration and coordination skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Excellent communication skills with learners, employers, and stakeholders.
- Flexible approach to meet demanding targets.
- Ability to travel across a geographical area.
