Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant - Bedford - Full-time, term time only - PAYE

Tradewind are currently working with a four form entry school in Bedford who are looking for motivated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants to join them on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible. You will be required to work between 8:30-3:30 Monday-Friday during term time. Interviews and trials are taking place as soon as suitable applications are received.

Our partner school are looking for reliable teaching assistants with a genuine passion for working with children. You will be given plenty of support and on the job training but in return, they are looking for full commitment. For the strongest candidates, this role may lead to full-time employment at the school. You will be working across various classrooms in Key Stage 1 to facilitate learning and support children with additional needs on a 1-1 basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the classroom teacher, SENDCO and parents to ensure a holistic approach to well-being and learning for every child.
  • Work as part of a large support staff team to create a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for all children.
  • Lead small group interventions for children in Maths and English
  • Work on a 1-1 basis with children with SEND including ASD, ADHD and MLD
  • Get involved in the wider school community and represent the school to the best of your ability
