Amber Mace is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team at an outstanding specialist nurse-led and therapy driven nursing home near Sandy in Bedfordshire. The home offers personalised support plans and detailed risk assessments, which enables the residents to think about, plan and achieve meaningful goals. The home is a fantastic place to work, and the team is passionate about the care, support and treatment it provides.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding person-centred care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Manage a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.
• Administer medications and carry out clinical procedures, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Participate in care planning, assessment, and evaluations, ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team, including doctors and therapists, to deliver holistic care.
Skills & Experience:
• Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN/RGN/RMN).
• Proven experience in a similar healthcare setting, ideally within older people's care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• A commitment to delivering person-centred care and maintaining high professional standards.
• Experience in leading and supporting a team, with a proactive approach to managing care delivery.
• Sound clinical knowledge and the ability to confidently carry out nursing procedures.
