Title: Automation EngineerRole: Special purpose machineryLocation: BedfordPlatform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that design and develop electro-mechanical machinery across the full development cycle - concept through to production. They’re looking for a Automation Engineer who will be capable of delivering highly robust and thoroughly tested solutions as well as leading development on new product development projects.The Role:+ Design electrical circuits and develop PLC/HMI software+ Conduct design reviews and prepare specifications+ Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting+ Collaborate to resolve engineering and manufacturing issues+ Maintain technical documentation, including FAT records+ Provide on-site support with occasional international travel
Requirements:+ Special purpose machinery/capital equipment industry experience+ Design electrical control systems+ Siemens/AB PLC programming experience+ Machine commissioning and remote programming support+ Knowledge of safety standards and risk assessments
