Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently looking for a skilled engineer who will join an R&D company based in the Bedfordshire area. You will be working closely with an experienced team, implementing changes for maintenance of equipment and developing new solutions for problems around site. You will investigate failures around the facilities and designing equipment and solutions to any failures.

The company have a lot of exciting projects within the Aviation, Defence and Motorsport sectors, so ensuring the equipment and machines are working to their optimum efficiency is crucial. You will also be updating machinery and developing a procurement phase before the updates and repairs are commissioned.

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and the way machinery works. This will include components such as Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Heat pumps, rotating machines, cooling systems and more!
It would be beneficial to have an understanding of Six Sigma principles and CAPEX.
This role would suit a Maintenance, Production or Project Manager or skilled Engineer looking to come off of the tools.
