Job Title: Junior Electrical EstimatorLocation: Bedford, UKSalary: £37,500 - £44,500 per annumJob Type: Full-time, PermanentJob Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Bedford. The successful candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
- Calculate materials, labour costs, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals and tender documents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing changes, and regulations.
- Support the project management team in cost control and project execution.
- Ensure all estimates are accurate, complete, and comply with company standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in electrical estimating (preferred).
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
