Position: Wireman
Salary: 30,000 - 32,000
Location: Bedford
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Wireman to begin work for a world-recognised designer and manufacturer of specialist power equipment for the aviation, automotive and emergency lighting sectors based in Bedford.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Wireman to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
You will be responsible for:
- Working in a small team of specialised assembly technicians assembling complex, high value electronic products in small/medium volumes.
- To build wiring looms, cable assemblies and connectors from design drawings and kits to the agreed build standards and timeframes.
- Competent reading complex engineering drawings, diagrams and BOM`S.
- Produce neat and intricate wiring.
- Make recommendations to improve process efficiency.
- Knowledge of tools and instruments of the wiring trade such as Daniels Tools, Connectors and Crimping Tools.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have experience of Assembling, Wiring, Box Build and Soldering within a high-end production environment.
- Previous experience of working to IPC standard 620 - certification is not essential but any experience greatly beneficial as inhouse training is provided.
- Proven experience of all aspects of box builds manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience of working with Defence and Aerospace connectors and wires.
