SMT Manufacturing Technician

Job Overview:
The role involves executing the manufacturing processes necessary for assembling Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and ensuring that the final products meet established quality standards to fulfil customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate SMT lines while achieving specified efficiency and maintaining process quality.
- Confirm that products comply with IPC 610 standards for the relevant class.
- Prepare and manage process control documentation, including initial inspections.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and other technicians to troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Familiarize yourself with departmental production targets.
- Complete required documentation and update databases in line with quality management system protocols.
- Adhere to all procedures relevant to the manufacturing process.
- Uphold high workmanship and product standards, minimizing waste and rework outside of design specifications.

Previous Experience:
- Familiarity with operating pick and place machines, ideally MyData, Dek, Jet printer, SPI, X-ray, and reflow ovens.
- Experience in creating programs for DEK, SPI, and Jet printers is a plus, although training will be provided.
- Strong component identification skills.
- Experience in package creation is advantageous.
- Background in interpreting circuit and engineering drawings.
