Body Electronics Development Engineer - £27.94/hr PAYE

What You Will Do:
• Generate and develop cost reduction ideas for electronic components, collaborating cross-functionally with other design sections to deliver these ideas.• Apply and integrate electrical and electronic components and systems to European vehicles, ensuring their seamless operation.• Manage the vehicle BOM, capturing customer requirements and creating high-level specs for successful implementation.• Coordinate closely with global Alliance R&D centres for optimum results.• Oversee tier 1 suppliers to achieve targets in Quality, Cost, and Timing, managing both supplier and in-house validation to company standards.• Take 'Frontline' responsibility for Plant and Market support, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You Will Bring:
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electronic or electrical engineering, paired with a valid driving license.• Proficiency in PC applications such as MS Office, with knowledge of CAN, CAN tools, and vehicle diagnostics.• Relevant experience in the automotive industry, showcasing a deep understanding of electrical theory and electronic devices.• Proven project and supplier management experience, with the ability to travel within the UK and internationally on an infrequent basis.• Excellent communication and project management skills, capable of working cross-functionally and motivating oneself to achieve high standards.
