Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint an Instrument Cluster Principal EngineerKey responsibilities:
  • Development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays and Displays to meet Nissan Design and Test standards.
  • Close management of suppliers to ensure the parts under development are delivered in line with program requirements for cost, quality and timing.
  • Issue and maintain physical part BOM and configuration data for Nissan manufacturing plant.
  • Prepare functional specifications through discussion with system owners, customer orientated engineering, styling and trim engineers.
  • Present part development status at regular internal Design Reviews.
  • Review and approve part drawings submitted by suppliers.
  • Manage in-house and supplier validation of the parts.
  • Resolve technical issues with test departments and suppliers.
  • Support vehicle development builds at Nissan manufacturing plants. Investigate, contain and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Conduct vehicle life cycle cost reduction idea generation and implementation.
  • Lead vehicle life cycle warranty investigations and countermeasure implementations.
Qualifications and Experienced required:  
  • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory.
  • Experience developing HMI based parts.
  • Familiar with automotive electrical architecture.
  • Exposure to CAN communication (1 year minimum).
  • Familiar with software development V cycle (1 year minimum).
  • Familiar with software validation methods.
