Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about food safety? We are recruiting a Technical Assistant position where you will play a vital role in ensuring quality and compliance within this grower packer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and implement food safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Accurately document inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Manage documentation and record-keeping as part of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee the raw material and supplier approval system.
  • Maintain and update raw material specifications, supplier certifications, and Supplier Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).
  • Investigate major supplier raw material non-compliance, escalating serious concerns when necessary.
  • Assist with customer audits and ensure a seamless audit process.

About You:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address issues clearly and calmly.
  • Attention to detail with good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and numeracy skills.
  • You must have full right to work in the UK
