We are seeking an Environmental Advisor to work on a major civil engineering project based in Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role, ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainability on a high-profile site.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide expert guidance on environmental management to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company standards. You will support the project team in identifying and mitigating environmental risks that are specific to the site. Regular responsibilities will include conducting site inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring activities to maintain ongoing compliance.
As the environmental advisor you will be developing and helping on-site staff gain awareness of environmental responsibilities and promoting best practices. The role also involves close collaboration with the site team, stakeholders, and regulators to drive sustainability initiatives and achieve positive environmental outcomes. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports, including site-specific environmental impact assessments and updates on environmental performance.

- £520 - £560 a day depending on experience

What We're Looking For
- A degree or equivalent qualification in environmental science, sustainability, or a relevant field.
- Experience in an environmental advisory role, within civil engineering or construction.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate site teams effectively.
- A valid UK driving licence.
