Our client in Bedfordshire are looking for an experienced Head of Regulation & Community Resilience to join their team and play a crucial role in their Environmental operations.Position: Head of Regulation & Community ResilienceLocation: Beddfordshire Rate: £750 a day (Umbrella)Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm Contract: 4-5 months possible extensionKey Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive Environmental Health, Corporate Health and Safety, Trading Standards, Licencing, Registration, Community Safety, Resilience and Flood Risk service.
  • Responsible for the ensuring statutory obligations are met and delivering a range of services.
  • Lead or support on cross cutting issues (as required), utilising matrix management to engage talent and breaking down internal boundaries.
  • Identify and pursue as appropriate and agreed, all additional sources of funding or other resources.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or a suitable professional qualification related to Environmental Services.
  • Membership of a professional institute relevant to Environmental Services.
  • In depth knowledge of statutory requirements, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to service areas within the remit.
