- Responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive Environmental Health, Corporate Health and Safety, Trading Standards, Licencing, Registration, Community Safety, Resilience and Flood Risk service.
- Responsible for the ensuring statutory obligations are met and delivering a range of services.
- Lead or support on cross cutting issues (as required), utilising matrix management to engage talent and breaking down internal boundaries.
- Identify and pursue as appropriate and agreed, all additional sources of funding or other resources.
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or a suitable professional qualification related to Environmental Services.
- Membership of a professional institute relevant to Environmental Services.
- In depth knowledge of statutory requirements, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to service areas within the remit.
