Production & Workshop Operative

Location: Wyboston (Transport required)

Working Hours: 6.00am - 4.30pm, Monday - Thursday

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Production & Workshop Operative to support our client’s busy production team in Wyboston. This is a great opportunity to join a business that has a real family feel to it, in a beautiful rural location, with a lot of progression to offer. Training in all aspects of the role is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, package, and label products according to company standards.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as required to meet production targets.
  • Cutting materials to size and completing ‘hot work’ with rubber joinery as required.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specified requirements.
  • Regularly complete heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
  • Occasionally work on knees (knee pads provided).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Own transport required due to location
  • Reach / Counterbalance licence highly desirable (nationally accredited or in-house)
  • Good communication and literacy skills (basic understanding of maths preferred).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and alone.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
