Reed Finance is proud to be working in partnership with a local legal firm to recruit a diligent and experienced Legal Practice Manager (Finance).
Working closely with the CEO and Board, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the Finance and Administrative functions to drive business performance and steer the business in the right direction.
Core Duties Include:
- Understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
- Management of accounts team and administration staff.
- Prepare information for annual SARs audit and year-end accounts.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, including GDPR and accounts breaches.
- Draft, review, and update policies in line with Lexcel, CQS, and SRA guidelines.
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports.
- Handle VAT returns, corporation tax instalments, payroll supervision, and NI/Tax payments.
- Conduct team appraisals and provide relevant software/system support.
Requirements:
- Previous Finance experience in a Legal or Professional Services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Rules and SRA Handbook obligations.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or finalist (desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary and benefits:
The role of Practice Manager is £60,000pa with upside for the perfect fit, alongside flexible working hours.
