We are working with a reputable and community focused wealth management firm based in the Bedford area. They pride themselves on being a client focused entity offering bespoke reports and long-term financial solutions to its clients.

This firm is looking for a Trainee or highly skilled Paraplanner to join its growing team and play a vital part in their collaborative working environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make this role their own and play to their strengths as well as attending client meetings alongside the advisors, create special relationships and play a vital role in the whole firm’s overall development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and unique to client financial planning reports, including recommendations for investment, retirement, protection, and tax strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth research on financial products, investment opportunities, and market trends to support client recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with financial advisers to ensure that client objectives are fully understood and reflected in the proposed strategies.
  • Work closely with compliance consultants ensuring that regulatory requirements and standards are met.
  • Liaise with clients, providers, and third-party contacts to gather relevant information and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the financial advisers, contributing to the smooth running of the team’s operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (desired but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a Paraplanner role with a Financial Planning firm
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Prepared to use their initiative
  • Progressing towards or achieving Chartered status.
