Job Title: Inside Sales Executive

Location: Bedford

Salary: Market-competitive with excellent benefits

Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday / 9 - 5.30pm 1hr lunch break

We are delighted to be recruiting for an Inside Sales Executive from a shipping/freight forwarding background, who can build excellent rapport with existing and new clients to encourage repeat business. Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

Freight forwarding knowledge is essential and experience working in a similar environment.

Cold sales and telesales experience is essential.

Ability to provide freight quotes for groupage shipments via the Quote Tool

Ability to identify the full potential of the Prospect across all modes of Transport

Enthusiastic, target driven and self-motivated.

Strong Communication: Confident and clear when speaking with clients or team members and able to handle objections effectively.

Organisation: Manage multiple quotes and follow-ups efficiently.

Knowledge of using PC applications to include Microsoft Office with a bias of Excel. Also accurate in typing and keyboard skills.

GCSE/A Level standard for English & Maths (or equivalent).


Key duties & Responsibilities:

Follow-Up on Spot Quotes by proactively reaching out to clients to confirm receipt of quotes and address questions or concerns.

Maintain consistent follow-up to improve conversion rates.

Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and encourage repeat business.

Handle client objections effectively and work to close deals.

Collaboration with Internal Teams

Coordinate with sales, pricing, and operations teams to ensure accurate quotes and feasibility.

Monitor the status of quotes and update CRM systems with progress.

Analyse data on quote conversion rates and provide insights to management.
