Propose for the additional resource:
This additional development resource will work with the Data and Reporting teams to design and build the user front end for a new technical solution in Power BI, encompassing a new app for our technicians to use to see their bonus, along with data quality reporting for head office teams. The resource will complement the existing teams but bring a greater level of experience to the team for the duration of the project.
Skills Required:
- The ideal candidate will have skills in both Data and Reporting, meaning they can use structured query language to query and model data into Power BI and then display the data appropriately.
- They will also need to be proactive, able to conduct some investigation and requirements gathering, and communicate well with the project team and business stakeholders as needed.
- They will be responsible for the visualisation and usability of the new Technician Bonus solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements gathering - Investigation into existing data/reporting solutions as necessary.
- Data preparation using SQL (MS SQL Server, Snowflake).
- Report design and app build using Power BI.
- Testing - Unit testing, User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders with any remediation.
- Documentation, wireframes.
- Stakeholder engagement - Effective communication.
Measure of success:
- Key reporting/App delivery within deadline.
- Accuracy of reporting.
- Stakeholders happy with reporting content and usability.
- Supporting documentation completed, ahead of their departure.
