Principal Console Engineer - 0891 - £30.78/hr PAYE rate

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a Principal Console Engineer in Cranfield to lead development of the Centre Console on a significant minor change. This is a 12-month contract role, and it comes with a favourable rate of £30.78 per hour PAYE.

To give you an idea of how this Principal Console Engineer role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Create concept sheets and supporting presentation to CVE
• Provide technical explanation of changing content to cost estimators to set the budget
• Generate design estimations for cost of change from benchmark
• Prepare Styling Feedback of A-Surface feasibility and technical requirement
• Take responsibility for cost, timing and delivery to meet all required specifications
• Identify challenge points and queries in the quote to close the gap between quote, concept and budget

To apply for this Principal Console Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Design / Engineering qualification
  • Prior knowledge of interior cabin parts / modules including :-
  • Global Design and development at part / module level
  • Supplier management (cost / quality and timing)
  • Meeting regulation & safety performance
  • Managing and reporting test validation
  • Managing and reporting part quality / reliability
  • Technical analysis of market concerns
  • Managing and reporting adoption timing and delivery
  • Working as Part of a Cross Functional Team
    • Must display an understanding of how to engineer
    • injection moulded plastic and pressed metal assemblies.
    • CAD Interrogation skills 

You'll receive an excellent contract per hour rate of £30.78 in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
