Insight Employment are seeking a Team Leader for a local client of ours in Bedford.

The role: -

The Team Leader is the first line of contact for the brewing operators on shift. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the brewer from malt intake to bright beer and final pack.

Functions & Responsibilities: -

  • Management of production at high and low level.
  • Health and Safety including risk assessment and COSHH assessments.
  • Management and coaching of direct reports.
  • Management of team members on shift: brewing operatives, engineers and keg operatives.
  • Ensuring global food safety standards are met.
  • Ensuring produced good confirm to internal quality standards.
  • Part of the HACCP team.
  • Performing RACs in the event of production failure or near misses.
  • Planning the brewing programme and CIP schedules.
  • Fermentation monitoring.
  • Ensuring final product is on time, in full, and in spec for the packing lines.
  • Management of utility and waste material stock.

Qualifications: -

  • A Levels or equivalent.
  • Experience, Key behaviours and functional competencies:
  • A minimum of 3 year’s experience in production or manufacturing plant and 1 year’s management experience
  • Knowledge of the brewing process is preferred but not essential.
  • Must be computer literate with eh ability to interpret, interrogate and present data.
  • Able to work a 3 (or other) shift pattern.
  • Able to make decisions pressurised situations.
  • Aware of Health and Safety requirement.
  • Cooperative attitude towards all departments in achieving production targets

Salary: -

£30 - £40K plus 5.9K shift allowance
