SMT Technician

SMT Technician to carry out manufacturing process steps for the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemble products to agreed quality levels to meet customer expectations


SMT Technician - Main Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run SMT lines to specified efficiency and process quality levels
  • Ensure the product meets IPC 610 to the specified class
  • Input and preparation of process control documentation including first-off inspection
  • Work closely with the Engineering team and other technicians to support fault-finding and innovative solutions
  • Ensure you are familiar with the department's output production targets
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and update databases to meet the requirements of the quality management system
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
  • Maintain the highest level of workmanship and product standards, and ensure no scrap is created with minimal re-work outside of the design
