Sound Tester

Our client is a leading environmental consultancy specialising in architectural and environmental acoustics. The sound tester position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects across rural, urban, and industrial environments in the UK. Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in conducting sound testing for various projects, including buildings and commercial properties
  • UKAS accreditation and Part E certification
  • Valid driver's licence

Duties

  • Collaborate seamlessly with architects, developers, engineers, and construction site managers throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Conduct noise measurement assessments, sound insulation testing, and 3D noise modelling, followed by the preparation of comprehensive reports based on the findings.
  • Compile final reports for clients that are informative and actionable
  • Utilise acoustical software such as ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, and CaDnaA.
