JOB TITLE: TEAM ASSISTANT - COURT OF PROTECTION & POWERS OF ATTORNEY

SALARY: £24,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Assistant at a progressive law firm in Bedford. We welcome your CV if you have experience as a Secretary, Team Assistant, or Administrator and possess strong IT skills.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide the team and wider Department with the administrative support they need to allow seamless legal services to clients and help them maximise the amount of time they can spend on client work.

Daily Duties:

  • Extensive client liaison - interaction with clients, meetings and appointment greetings.
  • Answering and directing telephone and email enquiries
  • Attending out-of-office visits to the clients' homes
  • Completing BACS requests
  • Assisting with Isokon entry
  • Completing deputyship reports
  • Conducting administrative duties such as billing, filing and diary management
  • Taking phone calls and dealing with new enquiries from prospective clients
  • Keeping fee earners up to date on the progress of a task(s),
  • Diary and inbox management.
  • Produce documents to a high standard.
  • Ensuring you have a good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and all other compliance requirements of a regulated practice.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Minimum of 6- 12 months of Private Client or Court of Protection experience
  • You can expect full support and ongoing training from the outset with genuine prospects for career progression.
  • Well-organised with good IT and Administration skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines
  • Willingness to work well as part of a busy, friendly team
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Can build a rapport with clients
  • Honest and trustworthy
