Overview

Join our dynamic team as a SHEQ Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the safety, health, environmental, and quality standards of our operations. This position offers a unique blend of office and field work, providing an exciting opportunity to directly impact our compliance and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in maintaining and elevating our adherence to ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards and driving continuous improvement across all project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental advice tailored to our specific business needs, ensuring these principles are deeply integrated into our company culture.
  • Maintain and enhance ISO standards and accreditations and assist in achieving additional standards that align with our strategic direction.
  • Conduct regular SHEQ audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of in-house training on SHEQ-related topics, fostering a well-informed workforce.
  • Manage reporting and investigative procedures for any incidents, establishing preventative measures and communicating findings to promote safety and compliance.
  • Represent the company’s safety performance to external parties, including clients and regulatory bodies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role, with a strong understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to support business needs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to create compelling presentations and reports.
Desirable Attributes
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Experience in auditing, with strong analytical skills.
  • Background in the events and temporary structures industry is advantageous.
